How Do You Spell Fire? Nike Air Jordan V 2000 Retro White Black Fire Red (Review)

Ok so obviously thats not how you spell fire, but the shoes ARE fire. Released in early January of 2000 they were relatively easy to obtain, I should know I arrived to pick up my two pairs at around 11:30 AM and walked out with NO ONE in the store. My how times change. The 3m, the Nike Air, the premium leather, the OG air units make this one for the ages. As most of us know that when they re-retro’d this shoe there was a 23 stitched into the side (from Jordan’s player sample that was never formally released to the public), gone was the Nike Air off the back and the blinged out 3m. The one thing I have to give to the last retro over the 2000 version was the fit. The OG’s from 1990 had a narrow toe box on them, as did the version with the 23 on the side. The 2000 release was a little more roomy on the sides which you may or may not have liked, and the midsole comfort on the 2000 version was better. This colorway came in a silver box with both a BLACK Sizing label as well as a SILVER sizing label, don’t ask me why, but the same day I picked up my pairs in 2000 both boxes had different colored labels so don’t sweat the authenticity based on that. Anyhow, prices have been falling lately for them, people worried they will crack apart, or just lack of desire for them, in any case if your a fan of the Jordan V they are one of those must have releases. Below are pictures from the DeFY. New York Vault enjoy pics of this legendary release.
