This year Nike is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the original Nike Air Max Plus but many tend to overlook a rather unique -word to AZ- model in the line up, the Air Max Plus V.

Here was a shoe that design wise was leaps and bounds ahead of its time. An ultra modern looking running shoe that found itself right in the heart of the NT denim & tall tee era. They would eventually find themselves on the feet of 50 Cent for his ‘In Da Club’ video -before the Reebok deal-

and on my feet via the Nike Outlets.

At an original retail price of $125 they featured a double lasted stretch synthetic upper with injected ribs, Nike Tuned Air tech in the heel and an injected outsole pattern for traction and durability. Ultimately they are overdue for a re-issue.  Check out a flick of a slightly more rare midnight navy color way below and drop a comment if you think Nike should bring these back.
