Nineteen ninety six was a promising year. Reasonable Doubt was getting a lot of love on Hot 97, Lil’ Kim and Junior Mafia were carving out their own lane, the east coast vs. west coast beef was still very much in effect. TV shows like Friends, Seinfeld, and the single guy were on TV and if you were in high school nylon track suits were what was hot in the streets. Now, granted the Jordan XI was still the shoe to have but for those that didn’t have the bread to for over 125+ for some kicks then attention quickly turned to reasonably priced running shoes. The Etonic Contour brings back memories of just the style of shoe. Now granted, FILA, Nike, Reebok and New Balance were the choice of footwear for most teenagers during the time but the Etonic Contour was dope. It was comfy, lightweight and featured a great silhouette with a lot of possibilities both material and color wise (especially for today).
