THE NIKE AIR RAID IN BLACK AND GREY RETURNS AGAIN FOR 2020, BUT SHOULD YOU BUY?

Originally released back in 1992, the shoe Nike built to combat Reebok’s pioneering street basketball line of Black Top basketball shoes was -and still is just as good today as it was back in 1992.  The first retro of this shoe dropped back in 2003 and is still the definitive retro of this color ways of the Air Raid.

By 2005 Nike released Tinker Hatfields Air Jaq prototype -the shoe Nike initially wanted to release insinuating they were so dope someone would  want to “jack them off your feet”. That shoe was ultimately scrapped but they would do a small drop of the Air Jaq in 2005

They released again in 2008 true to the OG as well, although the fit was a bit different and by 2014 Nike decided they would darken the straps (much to the dismay of purists).  Those ultimately showed up at the outlets because of this design change.

Well, they are back again for 2020 true to the OG for the most part although missing some of the grey hits near the forefoot which for some, is a deal breaker.  Will you be picking theses up?  Available 8/8/20 via NIKE
