In the late 90’s Adidas, Nike, Reebok, New Balance etc. used some awesome leather for the uppers of a lot of their sneakers. The Downtown was fortunate enough to feature that same leather. Released in 1997/98, this was a shoe designed for John Starks of the New York Knicks. Features included: Both leather and synthetics a long with compression molded EVA (uppers) as well as the famed Adidas Torsion System. If your stock piling a bunch of sneakers and looking for something that next to no one owns then this is a pair you’ll definitely wanna start hunting. Since pairs rarely show up their tough to price but since most people don’t realize this was John Starks shoe expect to pick these up on the sneak for cheap. Take a trip back to 1998 above!
