Fracture? Really? As a skater I’m sure thats the last word you want to hear let alone that be the name of your sneakers (to me it would be the equivalent of your American Football cleats being called concussion) but thats the name Van’s went forward with for this 1996 release. Names aside the design was clean and straightforward and the use of both canvas and suede on the upper was tastefully done. That clean helvetica like font just seals the deal on these subtle gems. Colorway’s included black, navy, charoal or skyblue suede canvas and if your looking for a pair today ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh good luck. Like many late 90’s Vans people didn’t buy them to collect and finding a pair very difficult. Your best bet? Ebay all day. Take a trip back to 1996 above.
