Hmmm so you button your shirt all the way up and rock an 80’s synth pop cut? Your on some new ish aren’t you? No, your really not. While I love the wild synth pop cuts of the 80’s and even more so that they’ve been discovered by an entirely new generation don’t get all high and mighty. Your father or for that matter your grand daddy has about 25+ years on you. That aside, this 1987 ad from Stussy is bang up to date and just reflects as a whole why the brand has connected with so many generations. Sure, they fell off in the late 90’s, but the fact that they were able to reintroduce the attitude and youthful soul that brought them success in the 80’s and early 90’s and come back with a vengeance shows that classic and good design never goes out of style.
