The earlier part of the 2000’s saw the return of a lot of retro’s from brands we never thought would hit the shelves again in the U.S; brands like British Knights, Troop, and of course PONY. In 2003, Pony begun to bring back a lot of their classics including the M-100 which originally released back in 1988 as their tech basketball shoe. When the retro returned some 15 years later (and at a eye opening 90.00) they weren’t welcomed with open arms. The masses hadn’t flocked to the sneaker scene yet and the individuals hoarding kicks were doing so with all the Jordan retro’s that were dropping. Retro’s from the smaller guys on the block didn’t fly off the shelves and eventually were discounted before disappearing all together. Luckily for us, PONY hasn’t abandoned their heritage product so the likely hood of you being able to purchase these in the near future might be better than you think.
