Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Sneaker x Kevin Lyons For Colette

If theres one shoe at DeFY. that we know well its the Converse All Star (see our Ultimate Converse All Star Chuck Taylor buyers guide video). It’s seen thousands of releases and is the unofficial artists shoe of the sneaker community. With that said Converse teamed up with artist, designer and typographer Kevin Lyons for a limited run shoe for colette. Kevin co-founded the NYC based design firm, stereo-type which for two years was responsible for much of the graphic look of the New York City underground Hip-Hop and Acid Jazz scene. In 2001, he was named as one of “The Top Forty Designers Under Thirty” by ID Magazine and went on to hold positions at Stussy (as design director) and then Urban Outfitters (as creative director). After noticing that Sarah Colette rocked Chucks every day (and the fact she’s always been a huge supporter of his art) he felt the collaboration was only natural. Featuring his signature Monsters drawings and colette’s signature blue across the sneakers white canvas uppers, this shoe will be available in limited supply (only 125 pairs) and in unisex sizing 3-13 at an MSRP of $90 beginning December 10, 2012 at colette in Paris.
