What do you get when you L.A. Gear borrows design elements from the Nike Air Revolution, & Flight 89 High for their own basketball shoe? You get the L.A. Gear B427. Features included: Ankle power strap, speed lacing system, forefoot flex notches, full length polyurethan midsole with “Airstream” heel insert and partial cupsole, extended heel counter and a molded arch area. They came in some very nice color combinations and one has to wonder, had they left out the visible “Airstream”, would the shoe have been taken more serious by footwear enthusiasts? Either way, L.A. Gear did a nice job on this shoe and left us with another in a series of interesting pieces of footwear history. Take a trip back above and make sure to mark these down as a “must have” in your footwear collection!
