Just because Avia was considered an “affordable” brand you can’t dismiss it in the history of sneakers. Back in 1991 Avia sued and won against Nike for their use of Avia’s patented Cantilever technology in the Nike Air 180. Ultimately Nike had to destroy the remaining 180’s they had (in 1991).
