So back in 2004 Jordan Brand decided to bring back the Black/Red color way of the Jordan XIII. At the time, the shoe was selling on the secondary market in the 250-450 range depending on size (for the original model). On release day there were long lines, and the shoe sold out pretty fast. Although most novice collectors were ecstatic about the fact of owning a pair of Black Red XIII’s a lot of collectors were unhappy about the fit finish and quality. Ok, materials aside, the craftsmanship was just down right poor. My true size was to snug and if I went a half size up it was to big. The shoe was very narrow looking compared to its OG counterpart, the tongue was much much higher and disproportionate to the shoe itself. Fortunately, unlike the flint’s these do not have the issue with the brown look glue leaking out of the mid sole that the Flints had. The hologram on the retro’s was not as vibrant as the originals.
