In 2007 when Nike offered a patent leather option for the Air Max 90 it was……..different. Patent leather on an Air Max 90? We decided to see what we could do with this option, The inspiration for this color combination came from a pair of 2000 Footlocker exclusive Nike Air Max Plus’s. Quality wise they arrived very good, but slightly to large. Standard AM 90’s usually run small, but with the patent leather they fit true to size. After ordering another pair in a half size down, those had to be returned, for the following reasons. Number one, the color that arrived was not even offered on the site, it looked like a bootleg pair, number two the air unit was visibly deformed, it looked like it was placed into the midsole on a slant really bad, last the patent leather was not cut properly (keep in mind it was the same exact shoe ordered 3 weeks earlier from Nike ID.) I didn’t waste my time ordering another pair and just returned the defective pair and received a full refund. Anyhow, the pair below came out very nice, to bad Nike dropped the ball on their quality. Below are pictures from the DeFY. New York Photo vault enjoy!
