The year 1997, was not an impressive one for the footwear industry. The Jordan XII’s were not what I would call blow away although they were built like tanks, and the Air Max 97 although nice was nothing to write home about. The Reebok Lightning DMX Royal was one of the bright spots from that year, featuring Reebok’s signature DMX technology. This shoe has withstood the test of time in the looks department. Comfort wise they were good not great but good, but these too were built like a tank with what appears to be faux ostrich skin on the uppers (couldn’t verify if it was real but its probably not).
