In December of 2001, we all rejoiced around the news the black red Jordan XI would be back. When they finally did release there were no disappointments. The quality, while no that of the Original’s was still top notch, the fit was good (they fit true to size) and even better, you didn’t have to camp out for them. The black red XI came back for a round 3 as part of a pack called the “collezione pack”. Our only gripe with these XI’s was the placement of the patent leather. They place the patent leather too close to to the toe end of the toe box which causes the heal of the shoe to feel as if its being pulled down. The first XI this happened with was the DMP pack. People go hog wild for the DMP’s but that shoe was ultimately the beginning of the end for the quality of the Jordan XI retro series. Below are pictures of the 2001 Black Red Jordan XI from the DeFY.
