PUMA has teamed up with Staten Island’s design duo Dee & Ricky Jackson for the second time. The collection combines more of Dee and Ricky’s style with PUMA’s deep sporting heritage.
The pieces are inspired by a mix of the iconic visual language of Massimo Vignelli’s ubiquitous subway map and the influence of graffiti artists.
The PUMA Basket has been refreshed with a playful and innovative upper finished in twisted grind print textile. The PUMA Basket Dee & Ricky NYC features embroidery prints over the upper and is available in vibrant orange suede.
The Basket Mid x Dee & Ricky BigA is a different take on the classic mid sneaker and features removable Velcro patches. More premium than before, the re-worked style features a debossed print on suede upper. The style is also available in turquoise blue suede with gold leather detailing giving it a unique edge.
The footwear collaboration is supported by a range of apparel and accessories, featuring jackets, t-shirts, sweat pants, backpacks and caps. The PUMA Suede backpack is a dope piece that features the New York subway all over graphic. The print also features on the collaborative cap, complete with moisture wicking sweatband and fuse mesh lining. The collection is dropping globally through Footlocker, PUMA stores, PUMA.com and premium retailers starting July 16th.
