Daniel Arsham Creates Street Wear/Culture Monuments For A Rizzoli Electa Gem.

Street Wear monuments?  Yea, you heard right -and no we aren’t talking Supreme-.  Daniel Arsham -who has collaborated on a variety projects that range from Merce Cunningham’s dance company to clothes and sneakers with adidas- has taken iconic consumer goods and imagery to create his conceptual objects and sculptures that imitate the effects of erosion over time thus creating street wear/culture monuments -as if the objects were rescued from Pompeii- for this Rizzoli Electa Book titled ‘Arsham’.

With an introduction presented by Virgil Abloh -whom discusses Arsham’s contribution to a post media artistic landscape-,

a thread developed by Hans Ulrich Obrist in a conversation with the artist that traces art historical precedents and further discussion by Steven Matijico who analyzes (through the lens of Andy Warhol) the artists projects and collaborations. Look for this 200 page release mid to late October via RIZZOLI.
