History Is In Session: Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five CD Review 1983 2292-44086-2

They say history repeats itself and never is it more apparent. We are in the middle of one of the worst recessions ever and people everywhere are struggling. When Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five’s 1983 debut album dropped they too were facing tough times. Their video’s and lyrics painted a portrait of what it felt like to live in a New York filled with drug abuse, poverty and crime while at the same time being able to get you up and dance with tracks like “the wheels of steel” “its nasty” and “freedom.” One dimensional they were not, original they were and for that this album gets classic status. Below are pictures from the DeFY. New York Photo vault. These pictures are of a rare original CD (most of these albums are found on record or re-issues of the original.) Ladies and gentleman if you can pick up a copy or download this album through itunes you won’t regret it.
