Renarts Gives Away Shoes To Kids From Big Brothers Big Sisters Of Long Island

front-of-store

Chase Ceprano is a former “little brother” at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island. He’s also the Creative director for Renarts Footwear in East Northport New York and recently held a Kicks For Kids event to provide new sneakers to the organizations current little brothers.

Tragedy struck Chases life at an early age when his father passed away from AIDS while Chase was just 10 years old. His mother battled with a terminal illness and because of this Chase was raised by his grandmother. Barely showing up for school, his guidance counselor offered him the opportunity to be mentored and he took it promising himself that one day he would give back in any way he could to the organization that helped him. Well, with the help of the stores owners he’s done just that. More than 50 children age 7-16 signed up and walked away with sneakers that they normally wouldn’t have been able to afford. It was the second such event the store hosted and a great story all around. Via Newsday
