There’s No Replacing The Original: The Original 1989 Premier Edition Reebok Pump, Pump And Air Out!

So I was fortunate enough to have owned the Original First Reebok pump. I was getting ready to wear them to the Fresh out the box event in 2003 when much to my dismay, they started to crack. I almost screamed like a little girl, ALMOST. As you may or may not know, the guys at Reebok BLESSED us with a 20th anniversary retro of the original (although not in the color way below) and they did a wonderful job, but there were some differences. For one the pump mechanism didn’t work as well as it did on the originals or for that matter the 2004 retro. The originals used mesh on the body of the tongue, the retro’s used leather. The padding on the inside of the shoe was better proportioned on the originals than the retro’s. Last, the color of the pump itself seemed brighter orange than the retro’s did. Other than these slight differences the originals and the retro’s were pretty much the same. Any how below are some pictures from the DeFY. New York Photo Vault of the Originals, not the crappy quality, these pics are almost a decade old. Anyhow ENJOY!
