You have to wonder how JCPenney got away with a pretty blatant copy of Adidas’s three stripes, but they weren’t the first company to do this. Converse was one of the first company’s to copy the three stripes for their winners circle shoe which eventually changed to four stripes. Take a trip back to 1980 below.

Many of you have probably seen these sneakers show up on eBay, most famously for the Jordan 1 Knock off. This was a brand of shoes offered by JCPenney that were awfully close in design to a lot of other popular brands from the time.
