Reebok court victory II is such a lovely pair of kicks. When they retro’d in 2009 they were almost identical only slight changes. For one, if you notice the pump release button was circular on the original and square on the retro. Second, the there was a honey comb like pattern on the rubber surrounding the pumping mechanism, this was absent from the retro. Third, the pump itself was not as substantial on the original’s in comparison to the retro and the pump mechanism worked properly on the originals (not so much on the retro’s). Fourth, the color’s on the retro’s were slightly darker and more substantial than on the original release. In addition if you take a look at the toe area you’ll notice that the originals had a much more narrow toe box. The Original was also made with indy500 plus goodyear rubber something the retro’s did not have. Pictures of the originals courtesy of oseasy from eBay. Pictures of the retro’s from the DeFY. What Is Nike Zoom Air?
Its flat, thin and very responsive. The technology is designed for top speeds and fast “off the mark” moves. Zoom Air is the ultimate low profile impact protection. The Zoom Air unit is durable cushioning that provides stable low-to-the-ground responsive cushioning. This technology is especially beneficial for sports such as Football, Tennis, and basketball.
What is Nike Caged Zoom?
Caged Zoom provides unique responsive cushioning. It grew out of the goal to increase the amount of Zoom Air technology underfoot and amplify the active springy nature of the system. To allow for such a volume, a structural Pebax cage protects the Zoom Air system. The cage also doubles as a mid-foot shank for weight savings. Testing found that Caged Zoom slows the rate of impact loading, helping to reduce the risk of impact -related injuries. Mechanical testing shows the system has the greatest amount of cushioning for any Zoom Air technology with impact protection similar to a Max Ar unit, but a lower profile, so its resilient and responsive. What Is Nike Air Encapsulated?
This was the first “AIR” technology that Nike Developed. It provides a durable cushioning system enclosed in the shoes heel, forefoot or running the full length of the midsole. Encapsulated Air has the smallest volume of any Nike Air cushioning system. Encapsulated Air is highly versatile and was able to be designed in different shapes and sizes to suit the specific activity for which it was made.
