The Mazda MPV’s production began in 1989 and featured selective 4 wheel drive, plenty of room for the crew and good gas mileage. The car went on to land a spot on Car and Driver magazine’s ten best list for 1990 & 1991 but it wasn’t until artists like Wu-Tang Clan & Fat Joe featured these vans in their video’s that the MPV’s place in pop culture would be solidified. From soccer mom’s transporting kids to the the local dealers rolling around with the crew the van had mass appeal.
