“Rollin’ In MPV’s Every Week We Made 40 G’s”: The Mazda MPV 1989-1995

The Mazda MPV’s production began in 1989 and featured selective 4 wheel drive, plenty of room for the crew and good gas mileage. The car went on to land a spot on Car and Driver magazine’s ten best list for 1990 & 1991 but it wasn’t until artists like Wu-Tang Clan & Fat Joe featured these vans in their video’s that the MPV’s place in pop culture would be solidified. From soccer mom’s transporting kids to the the local dealers rolling around with the crew the van had mass appeal. Take a trip back with the 1989 commercial below and make sure to peep the MPV’s appearance in C.R.E.A.M. at 1:14, and its intro to Fat Joe’s ‘Shit is real’ vid at 2:59.

Mazda RX-7 Third Generation 1992-1995

The 90′s was known for great music, great sneakers, great TV (pretty much great everything) and cars were no exception. The Mazda RX-7 is a dope car both on paper and the road, that is until it breaks down, then well…This car was one of a few sports cars from the early to mid 90′s that will always have a following. It rose to box office fame in the movie Fast And Furious as one of Torretto’s cars of choice (although with or without Vin Diesel this car was still famous). The car has great handling, decent gas mileage and is fast but they aren’t that common to come by these days so if your in the market for one you might have to go the eBay route. Before you buy one you should check out this buyers guide for the RX-7. Happy hunting.
