Pre-dating the Nike Air Jordan XIX by about 2 years was a little forgotten gem called the Nike Air Presto Footent. Described as “the concept car of the Presto Line” retail on these forgotten classics was $90 with features including: lightweight four way stretch mesh, engineered open vamp, micro mesh shroud for protection without adding any weight or inhibiting air flow, foamiest sicklier, full length Pylon midsole, Encapsulated heel Air Sole, Isolated BRS 1000 rubber crash pad, full length Duralon outsole, and a modified Waffle outsole. Now while the Jordan XIX’s Tech Flex cage was clearly somewhat inspired by the Presto Footent there were definitely some adjustments given the nature of use for the Jordan XIX. Still its interesting to see how shoes from one product line can inspire those from another especially a shoe of the Jordan XIX’s magnitude. Take a trip back below!
