While approaching the middle of the 90’s basketball sneakers were getting less techy and more fashion oriented. Everyone was about street basketball during this period and Adidas was in the running a long side, Nike, FILA and Reebok for a share of the market. While Adidas brought back their Streetball shoe here is a lessor known model named the Adidas Streetwise. At 55 USD they featured a smooth synthetic leather upper for the white pair and a black synthetic nubuck for the black pair. Both featured a padded mesh tongue, Exposed EVA midsole and a solid rubber outsole. While they probably wouldn’t blow anyone out of the water in 2014 they are still a clean looking shoe at a great price point from a strong brand which made them a winner.
