The 860 was described as “being built for the fast game” and advertised as a high performance shoe that was relatively light weight. They featured a double piece padded ankle collar notched at the achilles tendon,rubber outsole with pivotal flex joint (for flexibility at the balls of the feet), a molded sponge rubber insole and a dual density EVA midsole. Like many Avia’s at the time you would catch these on the court alongside shoes like the premier edition Reebok pump and the original Jordan IV and NO you would not be clowned for owning them. Retail was 69.99 and if your lucky enough to snag a set today you should be able to do so at or below original msrp.
