Dick Tracy debuted in 1931 as a comic strip in the Detroit Mirror and saw a resurgence in popularity during the early 90’s (due mainly to the 1990 Movie adaptation starring Al Pacino, Warren Beatty and Madonna). Further capitalizing on the popularity of the movie there was a video game (issued by both Nintendo and Sega), as well as a reappearance of the 1960’s cartoon on public television and yes, these dope kicks by Vans.
