Dapparel D-Band Head Bands Ron Artest 2003

D-bands are an interesting piece of headwear. They were created by basketball enthusiast Vincent E Norment to keep sweat from dripping into your eyes and prevent the sweatband from sliding down a players head (thus interfering with their vision). The company states “DBANDS, are uniquely designed headbands, has extra material for increased sweat absorption and head protection, which results in better performance. They are fashionably designed to maintain their position over the forehead area, making them comfortable and immune to slippage.” The company also states that “DBANDS offers a greater protection against head injury in physical sports activities.” They go on to provide a head gear study for football that concludes that “Adolescent football players experience a significant number of concussions. Being female may increase the risk of suffering a concussion and injuries on the head and face, while the use of football headgear may decrease the risk of sustaining these injuries.” How does this relate to the D-Band specifically? It really doesn’t. All the study says is that the risk of head injury is decreased with any piece of headwear that will absorb impact from a blow to the head (whether it be a D-band or a sweatband). You can read the entire study by clicking here. To read up more on D-bands visit Dbands.com . Now, with all this said how do YOU feel about the D-band? Make sure to comment and vote below!
