In 1969 Sears introduced “The Winner”, its unknown if Converse was manufacturing “The Winner” during its initial launch but the shoe got some street cred when Converse was eventually named as the manufacturer. The 1969 release of “The Winner” was made of Cordura nylon fabric uppers which are known for their durability and resistance to tears and scuffs (something most shoe heads love to avoid unless their going for that beat look on their kicks). Take a trip back to 1969 with this dope pair of “gym shoes”.
