The Retro King Of The Air Max Plus Jungle: The Nike Air Max Plus Pimento 2000 Retro Review

These were roaring when they dropped in 1998, and just as vicious for the 2000 retro. The Nike Air Max Plus from 1998-2000 was an incredible specimen. Personally, this was one of the top 3 most comfortable sneakers I have ever put on my feet. A 7 hour day around Manhattan in these bad boys and my feet were feeling good, real good. Fit wise they give you just enough room, but a secure snug fit, very breathable. Go a half size up as these run small as do most Nike Running shoes. The cons of owning this shoe are few, one of them being the polyeurothane midsole. Once the mid sole gets dirty on these they are very hard to clean. The clear toe guard although tinted a shade of black on the retro’s tends to get scratched up, and yellow over time if not worn with care. Pairs from 2000 tend to hold up better than the 1998 counterpart (not sure why that is). If you are fan of Nike running shoes this is one of those must have shoes in one of those must have colorways. Below are pictures from the DeFY. New York Photo Vault. Sit back and enjoy, a review will be up shortly of the original 1998 version.
